January 16 2020

TAMPA, FLA. (January 16, 2020) – Yacht StarShip announces the addition of a Pirate Ship to their fleet of dining yachts and water taxis in Downtown Tampa. The Pirate Ship, Lost Pearl, will be located at Yacht Starship and Pirate Water Taxi’s Dock, Stop 7, at the Tampa Convention Center.

“We have long recognized Tampa’s rich pirate history, theming our Water Taxi operation with a pirate theme and now adding a full-blown Pirate Ship to the fleet! Locals and visitors can take a real pirate ship adventure in search of treasure and dolphins on the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay,” says Yacht StarShip President and CEO Troy Manthey.

The Lost Pearl will offer public cruises beginning February 8, 2020. In addition, Lost Pearl will be available for private charters including birthday parties, weddings, corporate and convention events. The regularly scheduled cruises will include a captivating pirate show by a cast of pirates, swashbuckling activities for the young mates, dolphin sightings and endless photo opportunities. Lost Pearl’s galley will feature a snack bar as well as a full grog bar for the adults.

Custom built in 2011 to strict U.S. Coast Guard specifications, the Lost Pearl has two decks and a capacity of 125 guests. Lost Pearl previously operated in Virginia Beach, Va. and was acquired on December 26, 2019. Lost Pearl sailed to Tampa on its own power for the 1,110 mile voyage made by Yacht Starship’s crew. The transit took seven days, departing Virginia Beach, Va. Dec. 27, 2019 and arrived in Tampa Jan. 3, 2020. Lost Pearl’s maiden voyage will take place on Gasparilla with a regular cruise schedule beginning Feb. 8, 2020. For more information, please visit tampapirateship.com.
