Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing and expediting all aspects of marketing across all sales markets for Yacht StarShip, Pirate Water Taxi and Lost Pearl.    The Marketing Manager overseas graphic design, marketing assistant, street team, and marketing vendors. The Marketing Manager reports to and works one on one with the President/CEO.

Specific responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following list of items:

  • Developing and executing annual and seasonal marketing plans and budgets
  • Developing specific marketing plans/budget for specialty cruises
  • Analyzing ROI of different media outlets, revenue tracking, etc
  • Special Event Cruise Development, creating new cruise offerings or enhancing existing cruise offerings
  • Knowledge of SEM/Google Analytics/All Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Graphic Design (A plus but not required)
  • Customer Source Analysis Reporting
  • Overseeing outside marketing efforts including trade shows, exhibits, etc.
  • Responsible for all branded marketing collateral

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Qualified candidates should have at least 2-3 years of current experience managing a marketing department for a restaurant, venue or attraction in the hospitality field.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred or comparable experience
  • Directing marketing efforts for several brands simultaneously is a plus.
  • Should be able to lead and manage independently with limited guidance and have an understanding of departmental financial data including budgets.
  • Must be well-rounded and well-versed in all marketing outlets such as online, print, radio, tv, social medias, etc.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Executive Chef - Clearwater

Yacht StarShip prides itself in the ability to serve our made-to-order cuisine to dinner cruise passengers with high quality and within hard time constraints. Our dinner cruises are 2-3hour experiences with a goal of finishing meal service within 1 hour. The unique challenge is that all guests are seated within 30 minutes or all at once. Make no mistake, this is no easy task and if you love food, love boats, and love a challenge, this may be the opportunity for you.

The perfect Executive Chef for this position will be able to create an inspiring and high-quality menu (changing seasonally) while working within a budget. The chef will lead their culinary team to be able to produce consistent high-quality meals in an extremely time sensitive manner. They should feel comfortable speaking with high-end social and corporate clientele when doing tastings and menu consults.

The Executive Chef is responsible for scheduling, menu planning, ordering, food preparation, sanitation, inventory and oversight of the galley including cooks and dishwasher aboard our fine dining yachts.

Position reports to: Corporate Executive Chef

Position supervises: All galley members

Key Relations Company-Wide: CEO, VP of Administration, Vessel Captains, FOH Managers, Sales Managers and Reservations personnel

Job Site Location: Yacht Starship IV located in Clearwater Municipal Marina


  • Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience as an executive chef or 5 years as Sous Chef in a full service, high quality restaurant.
  • Culinary Degree (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Culinary skill in a wide range of New World Cuisine; fresh and local ingredients.
  • Administrative and computer skills including scheduling, ordering and reporting.
  • Must have a food safe card ( Servsafe or equivalent)

We are now hiring Marine Crew for a Deckhand to work aboard our premier dining yachts in both Tampa and Clearwater. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in making a career in the maritime industry. Yacht StarShip will train, mentor and guide you along the path to earning your Captain’s License while helping to pay for the required courses. You will earn the valuable sea time required to obtain your Captain’s License within 2 years.

***This is NOT a job for Servers, Bartenders, Cooks, Room Stewards or Housekeeping***

Position is part-time to start. Position may become fulltime as business increases throughout the fall.

All employees receive complimentary dinner cruise tickets, Pirate Water Taxi passes and 401k options (over age 21) after just 6 months.

Some of the typical daily duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Security and safety at the gangway and passenger embarkation/disembarkation areas.
  • Safely assist passengers on and off board and monitor passenger activity during cruises.
  • Clean and prepare designated public areas to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Clean and inspect all public restrooms before, during and after cruises.
  • Empty and replace garbage bags in all garbage receptacles.
  • Assist in fuel supply and black water removal. Take on potable water.
  • Inspect yacht for unsafe conditions while correcting and reporting any that are found.
  • Responsible for mooring the vessel.
  • Attend daily/weekly safety meetings with assigned crew.
  • Perform general marine preventative maintenance activities, repairs and housekeeping.
  • Candidates need to be mechanically inclined (in general) and able to work independently on a list of projects as well with others on larger maintenance projects.
  • Deckhands, under the direction of their Captain, are responsible for the complete care, preventative maintenance and repair of the vessels.


Deck crews are one of the first people our guests come into contact with on their cruise experience.
