What types of vows are available?
Yacht StarShip has two sets of wedding vows available. You can make any changes you like to these vows, or you can provide your own. |
Does Yacht StarShip provide wedding decorations?
Yacht StarShip does offer wedding decorations for rental ~ our wedding trellis with accompanying aisle runners and chair bows. Brides can also provide their own decorations or let the view from the third deck serve as the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. |
What type of music is available for the processional and recessional?
Traditional wedding music is available from Yacht StarShip's CD collection. In addition, Yacht StarShip's Wedding Coordinator can also recommend various musicians. |
Can we hold a wedding rehearsal?
Absolutely. Our Wedding Coordinator will schedule your rehearsal to be held on-board a day or two prior to your wedding. |
Do we cruise for the ceremony?
Your private wedding ceremony is held dockside prior to any other guests boarding the vessel and the reception takes place while we are cruising. Yacht StarShip can dock and cruise from a variety of locations ~ simply check with the Wedding Sales Manager for a listing of these locations. |
What happens in the event of bad weather?
The weather is one aspect of wedding planning that no one can control. Fortunately, StarShip offers back-up plans in the event of bad weather. If raining, your ceremony can be moved into the lounge deck or dining room. |
Is there a private room where I can change into my gown?
Yes. Yacht StarShip has a bridal suite where brides and their attendants can get dressed as well as complete or "touch up" hair and make-up. The Suite also has its own private restroom. |
Can I provide my wedding cake?
Yes. You are free to provide your own wedding cake or our Wedding Coordinator can recommend bakeries to you. The Coordinator will then arrange the delivery time & set-up location the day of your wedding. |
How long will my reception be?
A typical Yacht StarShip wedding reception will be three hours. Brides having a ceremony and reception will have four hours aboard the yacht. StarShip can extend reception times, as long as the request does not interfere with other sailing times. |
Where does Yacht StarShip cruise?
When docking in Tampa, Yacht StarShip cruises inshore around Davis and Harbour Islands including beautiful views of the downtown Tampa Skyline. When docking in Clearwater, the cruise includes the spectacular sights on the intracoastal waterway and weather permitting, the Gulf of Mexico. |
Is there a risk of guests becoming seasick?
Yacht StarShip's 131-foot dining yacht is a state-of-the-art ship designed for maximum stability. Most guests do not feel any movement aboard Yacht StarShip, making seasickness unlikely. |
What time can my florist and other vendors board?
Yacht StarShip's Wedding Coordinator will work closely with you and all your wedding vendors, arranging delivery times, answering vendor questions and supervising all decorating and set-up. |
Are children allowed?
Yacht StarShip welcomes supervised children. Half-priced meal selections are available for kids under 12. Admission is free for children 3 and younger. |
Can I have a wedding onboard for a party of 24 or less?
Yes, however we require that you call us for wedding availability before booking your reservation online. Please call 813.223.7999 for more information. |
